北京银行积存金买入价3月2日惊现1.6元/克报价，而实时卖出价仍为1173.40元/克，价差超过700倍，引发部分投资者套利交易。随后银行紧急暂停业务、单方面撤销订单并扣划相关投资者账户资金，引发市场广泛关注。针对此次乌龙事件及投资者反映的资金被扣划、订单撤销等问题，3月3日，以投资者身份致电北京银行，接线工作人员回应称，此次积存金异常属于业务端问题，对银行经营应该没有影响，目前尚未接到监管通知，若有监管通知会第一时间对外公告，且不存在应披露而未披露的重大信息。
